I love spiralbound cookbooks as the pages don't need taming while you're cooking. This huge book is full of yummy recipes to try out, and is an amalgamation of the many smaller booklets that Leisure Arts has on offer. While, for example, all soups are not under Soups, you'll find them spread out and offered under the various sections, such as Our Favorite Gift Mixes and Our Favorite Simple Suppers. This collection offers Our Favorite Desserts; Our Favorite Cookies; Our Favorite Gift Mixes; Our Favorite Simple Suppers; Our Favorite Party Fare; Our Favorite Family Feasts; Hooray for Quick Meals; Hooray for Chicken; Hooray for Side Dishes; Hooray for Salads; Hooray for Desserts, and Hooray for Sweets. There are 928 recipes so you're bound to find more than a few suitable ones to try. Some of the recipes that appealed to me include: Cream Cheese-Topped Chocolate Cake; Pineapple Jumbles; Easy Four-Bean Soup; Chicken Chutney Salad; Chinese Chicken Wings; Cheesy Spinach Soufflé; Black Bean Salsa; Herb-Pecan Stuffed Turkey Breast; Chili-Chicken Stew; Chicken Salad Oriental; Parmesan Chicken; Noodles Romanoff, and Praline Grahams. I prefer cooking from scratch so I didn't like when they used cake mixes. This book would make a very useful gift to many a college leaver or anyone starting a home of their own.
Illustrated. No nutritional guides.
Conclusion - A wonderful selection of meals to make.
