You've got to love Ellen.  She's all about goodness.  And kindess.  Oh, and she's hilarious to boot.  Her latest book is just as entertaining as usual, and I got as big a kick out of it as I did from The Funny Thing Is....  This lady is seriously funny and knows how to tickle your funny bone.  Her tongue-in-cheek lines will have you chuckling as you read through some insightful writings and observations.  She talks about her supermodel-esque CoverGirl days, family, American Idol, recycling (yes!), honesty, and "stuff".  And, Amen to the Common Courtesy chapter.  I love her life observations and helpful hints and how she always manages to work in some humor or exaggeration or suggestion.  She just doesn't stop.  Can you imagine an evening with her, chatting about everyday things?  Yes, please!  I think I'd pass out from laughing too much.  Talking about raccoons, I miss that wonderful TV commercial Ellen made. 
A sweet spot in Ellen's book, for me, was this: "I personally like being unique.  I like being my own person with my own style and my own opinions...".  That's exactly how I feel; thank you for reminding me it's okay to be me.
