My Point...and I do have one
by Ellen DeGeneres
Bantam Books
ISBN 978-0-553-38422-2
Published October 2007 - Paperback - 211 pages - $13.00

Originally published in 1995 (can't believe it!), Ellen's first book is now out in paperback.  Musings.  That's what I'd call this book.  I'm not sure if it's all in Ellen's imagination or if indeed some things are true, or at least based on fact.  Whatever the case may be, you're going to laugh, just as we all do at Ellen's jokes.  She talks about a plane ride she took (or didn't), friends she may or may not have known, offers poems and affirmations, dancing, and insights into all sorts of things.  All with her customary humor.  She also mentions her beloved animals (not always her own animals) which sometimes can make you laugh or make you think.  And we should all think about animals and what we are doing to them and their habitats.  Ellen also has lots of "out there" chapters which she takes on rather like a comic routine and embellishes as she goes.  I liked the chapter "The Benefits of Being a Celebrity".  Fun!
Conclusion - Not bad for Ellen's first book.  Lots of hilarity.
