If you need a kick-in-the-butt reason to start eating healthy foods and control your weight, then this is probably your best bet. Jyl Steinback, or "America's Healthiest Mom", has a new book, Supermarket Gourmet, out now. Her hints on how to effectively grocery shop are very helpful. She gives us recipes along with a shopping list as well as the nutritional facts, and super tips. Low-fat does not have to mean low-taste as her devoted followers attest at the beginning of the book. The recipes are varied and include Salmon Caesar Salad, Vegetable Fajita Nachos, Chili-Cheese Dip, S'more Chocolate Cake, Southwest Spaghetti, and Garlic Parmesan Linguine. There are many more mouth-watering dishes to choose from. She's also included Meat and Poultry, Side Dishes, and Dessert recipes. Most foods are available at your local supermarkets but of course, you may have to substitute certain ingredients here and there. The gist of this book is to help you prepare healthy meals and get rid of those unwanted pounds! Jyl Steinback will help you change the way you shop.  Probably our biggest downfall is being tempted by fancy packagaing. Now's the time to start getting healthy.
