The old cliché, "a picture is worth a thousand words", comes to life in this book. Love them or hate them, the paparazzi do provide us with an intimate insight into the lives of the rich and famous. In this delightful book we are also treated to some flashbacks (some rather alarming and hilarious) of today's celebrities, as well as some stunning and some candid photographs. Loved the Madonna spread on pages 148/149. There are photos of celebrities caught "in public", shopping, kissing, on set, at awards, posing, up and down fashion, pregnant, with kids, eating, driving, you name it. The police mugshots are a hoot and you've got to check out the picture on the right on page 235 (Oh. My God.) Fun pics are the ones showing who dated whom. I can't think off-hand of many who weren't included - I didn't however, see any pictures of Richard Gere, Harrison Ford, or John Travolta, to name three. This is a great book to look at again and again, especially if you don't get magazines regularly. My favorite photos, in no particular order, are on pages 117, 129, 138/139, 180, 201, 202 (the woman has a perfect body), 94, and 76/77. My worst are on pages 97, 161, 196 (the very worst - could anything be worse than looking at/like this?), and 227.
