I was so sad to learn of George Carlin's death a few weeks ago. What a loss. Thankfully for his fans, there is a lot of his work out there to enjoy. Even though this book was published two years ago, it doesn't detract from his humor and delivery. His book is a look at the world today (then), such as it is (was), his observations (he is the champion observationist), social comments, the English language (I would hate to have to learn English with all of its double meanings, weird euphemisms, and spelling), people and what they say and do (his book starts out with the very funny "People Who Should Be Phased Out" section), sports, and so much more. I enjoyed his one-liners (that's how I thought of them) as he tackles silly sentences, public figures, everday people, signs, etc. I was literally howling with laughter and had to put the book down several times just to catch my breath. What utter brilliance.
Conclusion - Good for the soul and for the belly.
