50 Good Reasons to be a Cowboy
by Texas Bix Bender

Published January 2001 - Paperback - 112 pages - $6.95
Now that I live in the Southwest, I see more "cowboys" than ever before. Some are real cowboys, others are wannabees. The Stetson is the usual giveaway. This book offers 50 reasons to be a cowboy as well as 50 reasons not to be a cowboy. You read the book one way, turn it upside down, and read it again. It's a lighthearted look at being a cowboy (if you've been a cowboy once in your life, it will forever define who you are), along with humorous comic illustrations. Here are a few "to be" reasons: You get to grow your own steak. Or, Your work is the pleasure of ridin' and ropin'. However, there are always two sides to a coin, so here are a couple of "not to be" reasons: You'll be bowlegged as a barrel hoop. Or, Being a cowboy ages you faster'n a tanning bed. This is my favorite "not to be" reason": You have to endure the heartbreak of hat hair. The illustrations are humorous.
Conclusion - Nice, light readin' and smilin'.
